The Reverend Ron Kimball, Jr. 57 of High Point died December 8, 2005 at High Point Regional Hospital. Born September 14, 1948, he is a son of the late William R. Kimball, Sr. and Kate Lee Boles Kimball. He served as a pastor for 21 years having served in Pennsylvania at Fairless Hills United Methodist Church and Norberth United Methodist Church and in North Carolina at Oakdale, Vickery and Hopewell United Methodist Churches. He was a chaplain at Moses Cone Hospital and High Point Regional Hospital serving in the cancer centers. Rev. Kimball also served as a volunteer with Hospice. In his spare time Rev. Kimball enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening, especially growing roses.

Reverend Kimball is survived by his wife Joan Dorea Kimball of the home and three children; Rachel D. Kimball, David N. Kimball both of High Point and James W. Kimball of Tyson’s Corner, VA. He is also survived by a sister Twyla A. Kimball of Tampa FL.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Reverend Kimball will be held 3 pm Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Jamestown United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Gary Royals, the Reverend Lynn Caldwell and the Reverend Paul Travis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to Jamestown United Methodist Church, 403 E. Main Street, Jamestown, NC 27282.
