PIPES, James Thomas Jr. (J.T.), 97, died Monday morning, March 1, 2010. He graduated from Lebanon Junction High School in 1931 before moving to Louisville with his family. He was a tool and die maker at the Louisville Plant of International Harvester Company until he retired in 1974. He was a Master Mason and belonged to Suburban Lodge 740. He was a life long member of Beechmont Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Elizabeth Taylor Pipes; daughter, Janet Lee Pipes; and granddaughter Kristi Ann Pipes. He is survived by his children and spouses; Judy and Thomas Miller, Jim and Marleen Pipes, and Jenny and Mike Wolchik; eight granddaughters; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Pipes; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Ruby Taylor; and nieces and nephews. He donated his body to the University of Louisville Medical School. His memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday March 6, 2010 at Beechmont Baptist Church, 4574 S. 3rd Street. A gathering of friend and family is 2-8 p.m. Friday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive.
