Justin H McCarthy Jr, “Pat”, after a lengthy battle with cancer, passed away at the age of 76 on Monday, March 13, 2006, at Hospice of Dayton.He was born on 9/12/1929 in Everett, WA. He graduated from Dartmouth College where he was a member of Chi Phi fraternity and was also on the golf team. Following graduation, he mmediately joined the US Army to serve his country here and in Korea. After his discharge, he joined St Regis Paper Co, Bag Division in Pensacola and later Montreal, Que. In 1964 he moved to the Dayton area with Howard Paper Mill, then a division of St Regis Paper Co.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harriet; His son Michael and his wife Anne, and their sons Lee and David of Oklahoma City; His daughter Dorothea Riippa and her husband Michael, their daughters KR and Patricia of Minneapolis, MN; His younger son Justin H. III, “Jay” and his wife Leslie of Bellbrook; Grandson, Sgt Jason Jerome McCarthy, who is serving his country in the Army Special Services and his wife, Emily; His recently acquired family of Leila, Aaron and Alyssa Teague; Additionally, his brother, James and wife Lynn and his nephews, Christopher, Dennis and Matthew, all of CA.Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on 3/17/06, St Patrick’s Day, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop, Kettering. A celebration of Pat’s life will commence at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at David’s Cemetery.Enough good cannot be said about Hospice of Dayton. Pat and his family’s journey were made easier by Hospice and friends. If you wish, you can say “Thank you” by a donation in his name.
