Mrs. Hazel Christine Harris Kimsey, 85 of Gastonia died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.She was a native of Cherokee County, N.C. and the daughter of the late Doulfus Alonzo Harris and Dixie Wallace Harris.Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Thursday, January 29, 2008 at Beech Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Cook officiating.Interment will be at Westview GardensThe family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.Mrs. Kimsey was employed with Ver-Mar Beauty Salon in Gastonia for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Murphy High School and has been a member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church since 1948.Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Everett Anderson Kimsey, son and daughter-in-law, FM and Ann Kimsey of Bessemer City, daughters and sons-in-law, Kila and Brian Sullivan of Gastonia, Karen Kimsey of the home, Pamela and Walter Smith of Gastonia, grandchildren, Chad and Matthew Kimsey, Nathan Smith and wife Sheryl, Lauren and Erin Sullivan, great grandchild, Raegan Smith, sisters, Elva Payne of Culberson, N.C., Ann Hughes and Betty Gunter Smith both of Gastonia.She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Bud, Luther and Fred Harris, sister, Edna Roberts and infant sister, Ever HarrisCondolences may be sent online at www.McLeanFuneral.com
