Elbert "LB" Shepherd, 79, of Portland, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was a retired forklift operator for General Electric, a member of Masonic Lodge, formerly 147, and long time member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Leamon (Milam) Shepherd; son, Elbert Shepherd (Mary); daughters, Lois Caswell (Kermit) and Karen Koufeldt (Bob); sisters, Fay Edwards, Jackie Lee and Patsy McGaha; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 2114 West Market Street, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday.
