GEORGE,
Suzanne, 70, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was a former resident of Santa Ana, CA.
She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Tustin, CA, Recovery, Inc., and CASA Teresa. Suzanne was a Recovery leader for 25 years and was a founding member of CASA Teresa, a temporary home and ongoing support for pregnant women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert And Mary Alma Philpot; and a sister, Mary Catherine Philpot.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew George; a daughter, Stephanie Marshall (Dale) of Louisville; two sons, Andrew George (Kelly) of Orange, CA, and Patrick George (Maureen) of Santa Ana, CA, six sisters, Jane Queenan of Louisville, Berta Hynes of Louisville, Gemma Hoehler of Louisville, Beverly Bruenderman of Lexington and Melissa Miller of Goshen, KY; a brother, Tim Philpot of Lexington; and eight grandchildren, Chad Waite of Santa Ana, CA, Amanda Waite of Louisville, Suzanne Marshall of Louisville, Abbey George of Sacramento, CA Maeve George of Santa Ana, CA, Nolan George of Santa Ana, CA and Shelby and Connor George of Orange, CA.
The Memorial Mass will be 11 am Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Road.
Visitation will be 3-8 pm Tuesday at Ratterman’s, 3711 Lexington Road.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or Parkinsons Association of Kentucky.
