Emma Alice Rogers, 86, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Springhurst Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the former Emma Charpentier, a native of Providence, R.I., a retired waitress for the old Stewart's Dry Goods and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adelard and Ellen Dwyer Charpentier; her husband, Zelmer Rogers; sisters, Mae Fenton and Ann David and a brother, Francis Charpentier.
Survivors include her daughters, Anne Marie Doll and Patricia Lee Bale (Steve); sons, James Michael Rogers (Connie) and Gerald Gibson Rogers (Debbie); brothers, Norman and Edmond Charpentier; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3521Goldsmith Lane with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 8 P.M. Friday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital or Hosparus of Louisville in her memory.
