RIGGS, Francis B. "Benny", 88, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was a retired generator supervisor for Louisville Gas and Electric where he had 37 years of service, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the LG&E Retirees Club. He was also a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Naughton Riggs; children, Brent (Diane) Riggs, Andrea (Chris) Riggs Heavrin, Brian (Teresa) Riggs, Dennis (Patty) Riggs, and Don (Karen) Riggs; grandchildren, Leah, Kara, David, Emily, Kyle, Jenny, Marie, Kevin, Allison, Aaron, Aidan, Geoff and Lauren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Rose "Sadie" Riggs Braden and Margaret Anita Riggs May; brothers, Thomas Joseph Riggs and Thomas Leman Hagan.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 – 8 P.M. Sunday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
