SAMPSON,
Dorothy I. 85, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
She was a retired cashier for the Kroger Co. and a member of Shively Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sampson.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Whelan (Perry) and her step-son, James Sampson (Diane); 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and sisters, Layala Homer and Marrianna Russell.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
