My Dad--Bill Barry--and Ed were great good friends and working buddies for many years. Dad is in an Alzheimer's care facility now, but I know he'd be devastated to learn of Ed's too-early passing. And if he could, he'd send his most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Dolly and all of Ed's family. I send them for him instead. And from me, his daughter.

Sincerest condolences from both of us.

Though I only have one visual memory meeting Greeley Sr. It is a great memory at the, then, new home of Greeley Jr. My condolences go out to the family at this difficult time and especially to my best friend Greeley Jr. who is my brother in the Lord and also on the earth. May God strengthen you and your family at this time of bereavement.

Sorry to hear about Eddy. He was a good guy always a smile. He was always good to me when I was growing up.

Ed,

We were all better off for having known you. You enriched our lives. We became brothers and your family became my family. You allowed that when I was in need. I will never forget laughing with you and crying with you. Life made us men but we were always boys at heart. Something I was very much looking forward to as we got on in years was to have a couple of cold ones with an old dear friend and laughing our arses off at the things we did way back when. Say a few good things to the Almighty about me and give your wonderful mother a great big hug. Always remember and don't ever forget that the Good Lord was chattin with ya before the devil ever knew you passed. Murph

To Jim, Bill, John and the whole Greeley family; The last time I spoke with Ed almost 20 years ago he said, "We are now even" as in debts being repaid.
I owed Ed so much more than he did me. From opening huge holes in the line to making me laugh with his humor and accurate insights on people, he will always be an unforgetable character to me.

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Ed's passing. Eddie and I grew up together and shared a lot through the years. From St. Mary's into MHS, we both learned how to have fun and how to handle all kinds of situations. I wish we had more time together - I will miss him.
