Noreen Pia Fodiman (Renee), age 68, of Huntington, beloved wife of 38 years of Bruce B. Fodiman, passed away peacefully Friday, February 19, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital following a long and courageous battle with cancer with her loving family by her side. Born in Stamford, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Theresa Pia, she had been a Huntington resident for the last 31 years. Renee was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, class of 1965. She was employed as an administrative assistant for the Xerox Corporation for 15 years. Renee loved to play golf and was a member of the Brownson Country Club where she developed many close friendships. She was a member of a wine and rosary group with her dear friends and always looked forward to their gatherings. Renee will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her heroic battle with her disease was an inspiration to her family and friends who will miss her dearly. Survivors in addition to her husband Bruce include her loving, cherished and devoted son, Brett Fodiman and his fiancée Meaghen Moy of Boston; her beloved sister, Patricia Pia-Krupnik and her husband Stan of Stamford; an uncle, Frank Stassano and his wife Jennie of Darien; and many cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Huntington. Interment will be held in the spring in Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
