Violet G. Fisher, age 92 of Fairfield, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Vernon Fisher, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Tancred and Lena Samut, she had been a Bridgeport resident since 1958. Mrs. Fisher was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother and was a gifted seamstress and decorator. She enjoyed creating and sewing clothing for her daughters and had a gifted ability to create ideas from displays she observed while shopping with her children. Survivors include two beloved daughters, Barbara Davila and her husband Joe and Marilyn Middlemass and her husband Robert all of Bridgeport; two cherished grandchildren who she adored, Christopher Easter and Allison Middlemass. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405. Violet's family wishes to extend their most sincere thanks to the staff at Cambridge Manor for the outstanding care and compassion provided to Mrs. Fisher and her family throughout her six year stay.
