Anna Halterman Perry, age 80, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Burr Perry, Jr., went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Century, WV, a proud coal-miners daughter of the late Charles and Delena Halterman she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School in West Virginia and attended the University of Bridgeport. Mrs. Perry worked as the Administrative Assistant at the University of Bridgeport for Dean Fitzgerald in the Nutrition Department from 1967-1986. Later on in her life she became a Certified Nurses Assistant and truly enjoyed caring for various elderly clients for many years. Anna was a warm and caring individual who was so very generous with her time, often placing the needs of others over her own. She loved to cook for family and friends and spending time in her lovely old home on Bronson Road. Anna loved flowers of all kinds, especially tulips. She will be dearly missed by her family and countless friends. Survivors include two beloved children, Corinne Salvatore and her husband Steven of East Granby and Burr Perry, III (Chip) and his long-time companion, Michele Lamoureux of Westport; three cherished grandchildren, Michael Perry, Jason and Daniel Buck; siblings, Virginia Ellwood and her husband the Rev.
