Neil Hirschhorn, 52, of Wellington, CO passed away on September 12, 2003, in Fort Collins, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO.
Neil Alan Hirschhorn was born on September 6, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Leo and Thelma Bassin Hirschhorn. He grew up in Norwalk and Storrs, CT and attended public schools in Norwalk. Neil had lived in the Fort Collins and Wellington area since 1978. He received his B.S. degree in Horticulture from the University of Connecticut in 1975. Neil married Alice Mae Anderson on July 9, 1976 in Storrs, CT.
Neil was a highly regarded jury and trial consultant since 1990. He assisted trial lawyers in many high profile civil criminal cases throughout the United States. From 1978-1988, he and his wife owned and operated Country Gardens Greenhouse and Nursery. Neil coached baseball for his sons’ recreational league teams and enjoyed camping with his family. He was an avid fisherman whether it be fishing for trout in Colorado, salmon in Alaska, sailfish in Mexico or bluefish in the Long Island Sound. Neil loved gardening and painting.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Alice Hirschhorn of Wellington, CO; his father Leo Hirschhorn of Jacksonville, FL; his mother Thelma Hirschhorn of Boca Raton, FL; his three sons: Adam and Robbie Hirschhorn of Wellington, CO and Steve Hirschhorn of Boulder, CO; and his daughter Stacy Hirschhorn of Wellington, CO. Also surviving are his brothers Robert Hirschhorn and his wife Angela of Flower Mound, TX and Joe Hirschhorn and his wife Evie of Miami, FL, sister, Gail Epstein and her husband Richard of Norwalk, CT, as well as several nieces and nephews.
