Dr. Wasson was my surgeon 18 years ago. He was thoughtful, kind, intelligent and learned - he quoted Shakespeare, for example - as well as being a fine surgeon and human being. I was fortunate to have been his patient and to benefit from his wisdom and skill. Sincere condolences to his family. You can take comfort in fond memories as well as the knowledge of how special Dr. Wasson was.

Dr. Wasson took care of my mother over 30 years ago. She could not say enough about him. He was such a compassionate and caring individual. His warm demeanor helped us through a very difficult time. He always had the time for you and did not make you feel like you were just another patient. He truly cared. May you rest in peace Dr. Wasson. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Dr. Wasson was at the head of an outstanding Bridgeport Hospital team which saved my life 36 years ago. Much more than an exceptionally skilled and compassionate physician, he was a wonderful person as well. A vastly intelligent man with whom one could converse on almost any subject and a man of great good humor. His devotion to his family on both sides of the Atlantic did him great credit. He showed that while one could take the man out of Ireland, one couldn't take Ireland out of the man. Dr. Wasson is one of the most remarkable people I have met in my 65 years; he will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched.
