It was with sadness we learned of Doc's passing. He was our ham contact while I was sailing on oceans. Warren would go to the shack and we would speak. Even in the middle of the Atlantic. We will always be grateful.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob and I were friends and met at U.B when I was a Nursing student. Bob, Herb W1MKE (SK) and I went to the FCC office together in 1980 and we all upgraded the same day, then came back on the train, celebrating our victory together.

When I went to Chiropractic College, Bob wrote a recommendation for me, for the admissions office. We always had a laugh that our radio calls were so similar; he became KF1J and I am KA1J. Many bonds and what goes along with that is I went to the radio site QRZ.com just now and for some reason felt impelled to click on "Obituaries" and I saw the notice of Bob's passing. This is the first time I ever clicked on that button, I just felt impelled to do it.

My love to all of his beautiful family. He was a good man and we were friends.

I am sorry I am unable to attend the services for Bob. I grew up with him in Bridgeport and we were in school together at both St Augustines and Central. Over the years, we have shared a lot of fond memories of growing up together and looked forward to seeing that smile. I am grateful for having known him. My condolences to Mary and the family.

Dear Mary and family,
Bob was a great man and friend to so many people. His bright smile and welcome wit were infectious to all.
Bob's dad was my high school golf coach many moons ago and when I first met Bob at Patterson in the 80's, there was an instant connection.
Thanks, Bob for all you gave to those who had the opportunity to know you.

Dr. Nevins, along with his beautiful wife, was a beloved friend of our family. Always a jokester, with a ready laugh, he brought joy to all who knew him. I will always remember his fondness for loud mouth soup. He will be deeply missed. Our love, prayers and condolences to the Nevins family at your great loss.

There are not words to explain how wonderful a man he was. We do not remember 1 time he would show up at Patterson without a wonderful smile and surrounded by family members. Dr. nevins exmplified the importance of caring for all and loving family every day. he will never ever be forgotten. God Bless him and let him rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to the whole family but especially to Mary who is one very very special lady. Sincerely Shaileen and Tim Tracy

Dear family of Dr. Nevins,
I knew him for more than 40 years. He was my Mother's doctor, also saw him at P.Club and Fayerweather Club.
About 3 months ago we met at Stop/Shop and had a nice chat. He was a very special person.
Most sincerely, Ann Horton
