Pat and Family,
Gerald was a great friend and a truly good man. He will surely be missed. I always looked forward to seeing him at the breakfast each quarter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time. May God bless you and give you strength.

To the Tripp Family:
I was in the Army Reserves with Gerald and Eston in the late 50's-early 60's.
To my knowledge I had not seen Gerald since then but I have fond memories of times spent just shooting the breeze.
He was such a nice fellow.
May God bless each of you in your sorrow.

Pat and family,
John and I want to send our thoughts and prayers to you. We are sorry we missed the Visitation yesterday. Please know we will always remember Gerald as one of the most giving and thoughtful people we have ever known. We can remember all the good times at Siloam when we first moved here. Gerald and you made both John and I feel welcomed to the community.
Love,
Judy

I am proud to say Gerald was a friend. A golf tournament will not be the same without Gerald teasing me about my size and being REQUIRED to listen to several jokes. Gonna miss ya big guy!

Gerald was one of the mainstays of our golf group. He hardly ever missed a golf trip. I know he enjoyed the cameraderie on the links as much as the golf. I don't think I ever knew anyone who enjoyed telling a joke or story as much as Gerald. Gerald also did some finish carpentry at our house in Powdersville and I got to know him away from golf. In the words of my father, "Gerald was the genuine article."
